What Is Key Club?
Contrary to popular belief, we do not make keys. Key Club is the oldest and largest student-led service organization, and it can be found at almost any school. Key Club members (or "Key Clubbers") around the world work together to make a positive impact on their community. As fun and important as service can be, Key Clubbers also spend time doing other things. Key Clubbers also attend socials to get to know each other better, and board members meet outside of school hours to plan service projects. If they meet the minimum amount of hours, Key Clubbers can also attend the District Convention (LEDCON) at the end of the year, where Key Clubbers from the Texas-Oklahoma District gather to celebrate a year of service!
At Paschal Key Club, we volunteer at a variety of service projects around the community, and some of our signature projects are Braille Bibles, Agape Meal, Recycling Club, the Cowtown marathon, and many more! Check out our service projects on the events page!

Why Should I Join?
There are many, many reasons why you should join Key Club!
1. Key Club develops leadership skills and builds character, Because this is a student-led organization, you have to step up yourself to get the job done!
2. You can meet great people who are just as dedicated to serving the community as you are. Not only will you become closer with the Key Clubbers at your school, but you can also meet Key Clubbers from other schools at inter-club events and at LEDCON.
3. Key Club looks good on college resumes if you are an involved member. Key Club combines service and leadership into one organization, which is impressive to colleges. However, this is only if you are involved. It won't mean much if you put "Key Club" on your resume, but you haven't actively participated or done your part to make an impact on the community.
4. There are many opportunities that are only available to Key Clubbers. For example, the Junior/Senior Scholarship provided by the Kiwanis Club of Fort Worth (basically, an adult version of Key Club) is only available to Key Clubbers. Furthermore, Key Club seniors can wear a Key Club stole at graduation if they have earned enough hours and are a paid member.
5. If you're a member of NHS or any other organization that requires community service hours, you can transfer your Key Club hours to said organization. Key Club is a handy way to get the hours you need and have fun while doing it!
6. Most importantly, through Key Club, you can give back to your community. You can make a direct impact on the community by volunteering and have the satisfaction of knowing that you made the world a better place.

How Do I Join?
Anybody can join Key Club! You can always volunteer with us or attend meetings. To become an official paid member, you need to pay $15 in dues. As an official paid member, you are allowed to vote in officer elections, serve on the board, run for office, attend LEDCON (if you meet the minimum required hours), and when the time comes, receive a Key Club stole at graduation (again if you meet the minimum required hours).
Again, just because you are not an official paid member does not mean that you aren't allowed to participate in service projects or meetings. We always welcome anybody who wants to make a difference!
Meetings Every Tuesday at 1 Using the Code "paschalkeyclub".
There is no "required" amount of hours per semester because we do not want to "kick out" people who have trouble meeting a requirement. However, if you want to be in good standing with the club, then 10 hours per semester is a good goal to have. Meeting this "good standing" goal is crucial if you want to run for office are currently serving on the board, as the board is meant to set an example for the rest of the club. It is also important to meet this goal if you want to attend LEDCON (which is strongly encouraged for officers), since a minimum of fifteen hours is due for LEDCON by early March. Also keep in mind that NHS requires ten hours per year-- if you finish the ten hours through Key Club by your first semester, you will be ahead of the game and won't be in danger of being put on probation from NHS.
As mentioned earlier, in order to attend LEDCON, you must be a paid member and have 15 hours of service by late February/early March. You also need to pay a non-refundable deposit and a fee for hotel rooms. We hold fundraisers throughout the year to help pay for all of these fees, so that it isn't as expensive to attend LEDCON.
If you have any trouble paying these fees, you can ask any of our sponsors for help. The Kiwanis Club of Fort Worth has been very generous in the past: they pay our registration fees and can usually help you with financial aid.
